“I was having lunch on the Carlton’s beach when 700 people crowded together at the entrance to the restaurant of the beach. It was funny, in a way… I was carried by three bodyguards to a car parked in front of the restaurant. They were literally carrying me; I wasn’t touching the ground anymore! It was really, really weird!”

Monte shooting schedule + Ashley leaving vancouver- headed to trash can

Shooting begins on Tuesday and the planned schedule is as follows:{~By the way – if you’re wondering, yes, they’ll be trying to include the “slamming” into his body. And When they reunite, Bella and Edward do kiss followed by the arrival of Jane and the others.
After that…a Twilight break. Until August.}



Tues & Wed~
* focus on Bella trying to make her way through the throngs of festival revelers to reach Edward. She jumps in the fountain, wades through it, towards him. Of course she makes it in time at which point he pulls her into a building.

*They’ll also film something from Alice’s perspective on these two days. She “sees” Edward sparkling in the sunlight.

*Some the driving sequences will also , schedule permitting.

Thursday ~
* jumping into a hole in the ground. This will likely be Robert Pattinson’s final day barring any major delays

Friday~
more driving and Porsche work.

New Moon Press lecture/meeting in Montepulciano

according to a very chopped-up trannslation of an italian article:

there was some kind of press conference today with a room full of journalists and photographers. The event took place in town hall where Chris Weitz was bombared with questions because the event was un-organized.

Perhaps the central point of the lecture was "why choose Montepulciano vs. Volterra?"

Chris' answer:
after to have looked at both the town, being enchanted by both -the motive of "symmetry", and therefore of simpler space for rehearsals, they chose Montepulciano.

it is also added that the rehearsals with the actors of the cast will begin tomorrow.

Charlie Bewley and Daniel Cudmore hit italy!

Charlie Bewley and Daniel Cudmore dined al fresco at a local restaurant in Montepulciano, Italy earlier today.

Charlie who plays the role of Demetri and Daniel who plays the role of Felix, both members of the Volturi guard were left alone as they ate but as soon as they attempted to leave were mobbed by fans!

New Moon director Chris Weitz has spilled the beans about what Robert Pattinson fans can expect from the second movie in the Twilight Saga.

Chris told EW: “Rob was the first guy to say to me, ‘You know, you don’t really need to have too much of me in this film.’

“I don’t want him too present, so his apparition will be a subtle, flitting effect - clearly a reflection of Bella’s will and desire to see him.“When you get broken up with, it really is the worst thing in the world. Meyer gives a kind of supernatural context to people’s real feelings, which sums up what we all go through.”

Rob, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast want to make sure New Moon is even better than Twilight.

Chris added: “The whole cast is reading the book and wanting to get it right.

“They want to deliver on the promise these books make to the readers.”

Ashley in Montepulciano, takes in sun, dines with cast

Making the trip from Vancouver to Italy, Ashley Greene was spotted making the most of her first day in paradise by taking a trip to the hotel pool on Sunday (May 24).

The “Twilight” actress ended up getting a bit sunburned as she showed off her bikini body, then heading off to spend time with fellow “New Moon” co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

During the afternoon, Ashley, Robert, Kristen and her boyfriend, Michael Arangano, all went together to a local pizzeria - filling up on the delicious cuisine.

Before leaving for Italy, Miss Greene told press how much she was looking forward to the trip, gushing: “We’re going to Italy at the end of May. I think we’re only there for five days, but I’m super excited. I haven’t been before, so it’s going to be really fun!”

New Moon extra account

At around 10pm, it’s our turn. When arrived in front of the door, Chris Weitz’s assistant, Bill, arranged the order of all the cars. Every time he looked at me and my car, he smiled. They then began tests with the Porsche, with Bella’s and Alice’s stunt doubles. And here’s the funny part: Alice had a stunt MAN, instead of a woman. He was wearing a headscarf, sunglasses, a red leather glove and a long grey coat with big silver buttons. Bella’s stunt double, instead, was dressed very simply, wearing only a green sweater and jeans.

The tests of the Porsche were seemingly never-ending, they really wanted it to be perfect. They did not overlook even the smallest detail: everything -from the placement of the car to all the car sounds- had to be just right. They even were overly careful with all the red flags placed around Montepulciano. The crew was sweaty and shouting us to get in our places, to which we obliged. Bill (Weitz’s assistant) was always calm and smiling, every once in a while stopping to talk to us on set.

They kept lunch light, and after we ate, they began placing all of us in different spots and alley ways in the city. In one of the takes, I hit the left side of my car’s roof on the video camera. The cameraman gave me a look that said: “That was the ninth take, it was going perfect, and then YOU -a small, inane nobody, ruined it. I wanted to shrink smaller than a grain of sand and disappear. Everyone around me gave me a dirty look. When the cameraman saw my expression, he said “Don’t worry, it wasn’t your fault. Just pretend the camera isn’t here and go on like you normally would. It was actually my fault, I should’ve been more attentive.” I felt better right away, and we reshot the take another 3 times.

Rob + Kristen in Montepulciano!!!

They’ve been hard at work filming “New Moon” for months now, and yesterday (May 24) Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were spotted out in Italy taking some time off the movie set.

The “Twilight” hotties looked to be enjoying their down time with a swanky dinner out at a restaurant near Montepulciano along with a few crew members.

Mostly filmed in Vancouver, Canada, “New Moon” also has a short shooting schedule in Italy before post production on the film can begin. It is scheduled to hit theaters November 20th.

In related news, Mr. Pattinson was spotted all over the South of France last week enjoying the scene at the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival.
